The mirror image of hard living, mixed with a rose seed planted within the street cracks of society defines the artist Syn-Right. His ability to rap, sing, and write songs has allowed him to create a fusion of hip-hop and R&B that places him in a diverse classification. Born June 16th, 1982 in Portsmouth, VA, he was given the name Denerick Spaulding. He was raised by his grandmother in Trenton, NJ before moving to Atlanta, GA, with a recovering mother, and then on to Texas with a father he barely knew. His final stop was returning to Trenton, only to graduate high school and become a student of negative activities. Along the lines of moving, he picked up an acquired love for music, being able to transfer his actions and past experiences into song format. As for now, Syn is involved in numerous recording projects. The first of many, his solo album "Fusion" consisting of twelve songs including his debut single "Speechless". The second is a group album with my business partners and lifelong friends Empyre. The album is entitled "The Domino Effect" and consists of 12 collaborated songs. His song "Grown and Sexy" premiered on Philadelphia, PA radio station Power 99 FM, November 11th, 2005. The members of Empyre consist of Syn-Right, Wor-V, Legend, Shaddoe, Blitz, P90, and Ariel. All from different parts of New Jersey, but inevitably met because of a common goal. Empyre's first performance was for Wendy Williams at the Asbury Park Convention Center. Syn then went on to perform with Shaddoe at an unsigned artist show in which Murda Mamis sponsored, DJ Envy was the host, and Young Sav from Def Jam was an official judge. Sheek Louch and J-Hood also performed. Empyres most notable performance was with Teairra Mari and Trey Songz in 2006. As quoted by Syracuse University newspaper The Black Voice, "They were able to deliver clever punchlines and arouse female audience members during their 10-minute performance of songs such as "Interruptions" and "Thats Boss". For the most part, placing aside a negative life in the streets was the most difficult task for Syn. Syn-Right says, I wasnt confident that this type of profession would out do the allure of my previous one. I aired two verses of my single Grown and Sexy only to be told by Cosmic Kev that he had good news and bad news. The bad news was that song was hot but too short, it needed a third verse. The good news was, we got a date with destiny on the radio. I sold him off two verses, now its time to make it do what it do. On September 21, 2007 Syn signed to appear as a feature artist in DJ-Thomas /ToxicMusicworld album. He is currently featured on the two tracks "Middle Finger to the law" and "Until the Game is Finished". Syn-Right is currently working on his first solo mixtape, "Every Song Like the First".
